Spartacus Consulting launches LabPortico

Spartacus Consulting launches LabPortico, a new Online Customer Service Tool for laboratories.

14 Mar 2007, Ann Arbor, Michigan

Spartacus Consulting has increased its product and service portfolio with the introduction of LabPortico. LabPortico is targeted at filling the market gap for a productivity tool that enables laboratories to cost-effectively manage their customer’s requests for services, reporting and consumable orders on-line.

LabPortico provides services such as online ordering, invoicing, quote requests, sample tracking, project management, and secure instant messaging as well as report and result downloading. LabPortico can be accessed 24-hours-a-day, from anywhere across the globe, using an Internet browser. It has well-defined security architecture, ensuring that only those with pre-defined privileges are allowed access. The broad range of functionality enables LabPortico to significantly reduce back office costs and improve customer satisfaction.

Spartacus Consulting aims to supply an array of web-enabled tools developed specifically to save customers time and money through increased productivity. For this reason, LabPortico is also available as an enterprise solution that can be implemented as a separate instance at a client’s facility.  Spartacus Consulting realizes that internal and external laboratories are facing increasing challenges, as they are required to deliver more with less.  The primary goals for LabPortico ASP and Enterprise are to improve laboratory productivity and reduce the total cost of ownership for all customers. The key benefits to successfully meeting these goals include faster and more competitive business operations and better managed IT costs.

Customers, which choose to outsource their software, experience a faster, easier and more convenient service in the ASP model. A monthly rental fee, replaces initial capital expenditure in hardware, software and continuing systems maintenance, therefore spreading cash outlays over a more manageable period. “Hosting services on a network of centrally managed servers maintained by highly trained specialists also provides users with the highest level of availability, scalability and performance. It further removes costs associated with upgrades and offers levels of security hard to duplicate in-house” says Ryan Dibble, CTO/CIO, Spartacus Consulting.
